Road Side Reciever

Structure Monitoring Technology Private Ltd, Koregaon park, Pune, Maharashtra, India

The road-side receiver is equipped with a PV solar panel for power generation, complemented by a redundant power supply. Its primary purpose is to gather the data measured by both the in-depth temperature sensor and the patch temperature sensor. The collected data is then stored in a data logger, providing local accessibility. Simultaneously, the data is transmitted to the control panel through an Ethernet switch. Notably, the receiver has the capacity to interface with 255 temperature sensors, denoting the presence of 255 node points, enabling the connection of up to 255 temperature sensors to the road-side receiver.

PV Solar Panel: This component is responsible for generating power from sunlight using photovoltaic cells. It provides sustainable energy to the road-side receiver, ensuring continuous operation even in remote locations without access to grid power.

Redundant Power Supply: In addition to solar power, the road-side receiver has a backup power supply to ensure uninterrupted operation in case of solar panel malfunction or during periods of low sunlight.

In-depth Temperature Sensor: This sensor is designed to measure temperature at a deeper level within the road structure, providing valuable data for monitoring and analyzing temperature variations over time.

Patch Temperature Sensor: This sensor measures surface temperature, typically of the road surface itself. It complements the in-depth temperature sensor by providing data on surface temperature variations.

Data Logger: The collected temperature data from both the in-depth and patch sensors is stored locally in a data logger. This device serves as a repository for the gathered information, allowing for easy retrieval and analysis at the road-side location.

Ethernet Switch: This networking component facilitates the transmission of collected data to the control panel. It ensures a reliable connection between the road-side receiver and the central monitoring/control system located elsewhere.

Capacity for 255 Temperature Sensors: The road-side receiver is designed to interface with up to 255 temperature sensors simultaneously. Each sensor corresponds to a node point, enabling the monitoring of temperature variations across a wide area or network of roads.

Road Side Receiver

In summary, the road-side receiver system integrates various components and functionalities to gather, store, and transmit temperature data from multiple sensors installed along roadsides. It operates independently using solar power, with provisions for backup power, and enables comprehensive monitoring of temperature conditions for road infrastructure management and maintenance purposes.
